I knew that this session would be spectacular after my first conversation with this stunning mommy. As we discussed my style of photography and her vision of what she wanted for the shoot, it was clear that we were going to be a good fit.
I was so excited when she told me about the traditional gown that was being hand-made in India. She sent me photos of what it was going to look like when it was finished---oh my, so gorgeous! I loved that she was incorporating her rich culture into her maternity photographs. She also admired the photos in my portfolio where the train of the gown was tossed into the wind, so she was bringing a second gown with a detachable train. Boy, we were going to have fun!
Given the warm orange tones in both gowns, we selected a beautiful peach orchard in Fort Mill, SC and nearby forest for our location. The lush greenery of the beautiful orchard would compliment the sunny tones so perfectly.
It was important to my client that this session was not all about her and the baby. She wanted to make sure that her husband had a big role in the photographs as well. This was a celebration of their growing family and future.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank my sweet friend Genny who is a talented photographer in her own right and assisted me throughout the session with posing and lighting. Hair and makeup was by Jennifer Abernathy Beauty.
I am so excited to share this session with you. It was absolutely one of my favorites and I look forward to meeting this sweet baby in October!
