I first met this beautiful family at their Mooresville home when shooting their beautiful newborn son’s photos. Grandma was in town to meet her new Grandson and she kept me company while I was setting up my newborn backdrops and blankets. Baby “L” was a joy to work with. You can check out what a cutie he was here (well, he still is a cutie of course!).
It was a good surprise to hear that Grandma, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa and the baby’s Auntie were all coming for a visit from California and they were looking for some family photos. After considering a few location options around the Lake Norman area, we settled on a field in Davidson that would serve to be the perfect spot for a large group photo session.
Our record June temperatures were bit shocking for this California crew who is accustomed to milder weather but we all braved the heat wave and everyone (including baby “L”) was in playful spirits. We took large group shots, small group shots, one-on-one photos of each family member with the baby and then some 3 month milestone photos of baby “L”.
It was truly wonderful to see how baby “L” had grown in the 3 months since we last met. I couldn’t get over that beautiful thick head of dark hair and his gorgeous blue eyes. This family is so sweet and easy to work with. I just love getting multiple generations together in photos. Here are some of my favorites from this extended family photo session in Davison.
