I had five families scheduled for my 2nd day of mini sessions in early November. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had her own plans and we were rained out. What luck. It’s one thing to reschedule a regular session because that means your rescheduling one family. It’s another thing to reschedule five families (especially during fall busy session). Everyone was really flexible including a dear friend whose family was scheduled for a full session on the date we used and allowed us to piggyback our sessions. In the end, we were able to reschedule four of the five families and I look forward to working with that fifth family some time in the future.
Since I was utilizing a wooded part of a rural Davidson farm as my setting, my son’s wonderful kindergarten teacher graciously offered to wait in the parking lot and direct everyone to my hidden location as well as keep me on schedule. I also set alarms on my phone to help me keep time (I get a little carried away when shooting and it would be really easy for me to go too long with each slot).
My mini families were all so wonderful to work with. Two of the four were already part of my photography family as I have worked with these families before and two of the families were new. I love seeing old friends and making new ones! Each of these families was relaxed, photogenic and just in love with each other. I love capturing that love on camera. Here are my favorites from my 2016 fall mini sessions.
By the way, two of theses mommy’s are sisters. Can you guess which two?
