The botanical gardens are such a beautiful setting for maternity photos. There was so much in bloom for Haley's pictures. It was truly stunning and Haley was equally beautiful. You can't tell from looking at her how hot it was. Although this session took place in October and I've shot many a summer maternity shoot, I am going to go on record and say it was the hottest session that I ever shot. Temps were in the 90s and something about the gardens amplified the humidity. Water breaks are always a must for pregnant mommies but on this day, they needed to be frequent. The portraits shot in the red circle were the last ones we took that day and I remember seeing double as I looked through the viewfinder. The odd thing was that the very next day it was quite cold...I was bundled up at my son's baseball tournament. Weather in this part of North Carolina can be crazy.
I recommend maternity photos take place between 30-35 weeks. My maternity sessions come with access to a very large couture gown collection. I have gowns in every color and style. I offer maternity and newborn photography bundles that are a great savings. Ask me about my early booking special!
